glass shelves full of yarn Crazy for Ewe opened at the end of August 2004.We wanted to provide Southern Maryland with the highest quality yarns available anywhere.  To that end, we stocked the shop with silky soft merino wools, baby alpaca, kid mohair, pima cotton, and cashmere.  We carry other luxury yarns such as pure silk, silk and cashmere blends, angora, and hand-dyed yarns in a variety of fibers. We have a large selection of accent and trim yarns that make up into fabulous scarves and add panache to wraps and garments of all kinds.   We also offer Cascade 220, quality Peruvian wool in dozens of colors as well as Plymouth Encore Worsted for easy care afghans.  In November of 2007 we opened a second location in La Plata to serve the knitters who came from Charles County and as far away as Northern Virginia.  We

Our bookshelves hold the latest titles from Interweave.  We have instructional books from Sally Melville with on the spot guidance as well as attractive, wardrobe-building patterns you'll choose to wear every day.  We comb through the dozens of knitting books that are published each year and select only the best for our customers.  We have a wide variety of individual patterns from Oat Couture, Knitting Pure and Simple, Chris Bylsma, White Lies Designs, Cocoknits,  Fiber Trends, and many others.Classes and lessons are one of the most fun things we do at Crazy for Ewe.   We offer private, semi-private, and group lessons as well as technique classes, and lots of fun project classes. Check out our class page for lesson information, and take a look at the weekly newsletter to see what's on the schedule and what's coming up.

Our wonderful staff is always happy to help you find just what you're looking for and to assist you with your projects.   So, come by the shop and take a look, get inspired, bring your current project, or just stop in to say hello.  You are always welcome here.

keep nearly identical stock in each store, so you can find what you need whether you're at the Leonardtown or La Plata shop.
