Lynne has finished her Knit Swirl Jacket, and doesn't she look spectacular in it!  I must say, it is a thing of great beauty.  The interesting thing about this jacket is  that it's flattering, not just to Lynne, but to the half dozen other women of radically different heights and shapes who tried it on.

Sure, as Lynne noted, any pattern that begins with "cast on 500+ stitches" can be a bit daunting, but when you see how fabulous the final product is, you know that it will be well worth the effort.  I tried it on myself Sunday night and was just blown away at how nice it was to wear.

I love the classic styling with the big portrait collar as shown on Lynne, but it's also really nice in any of these smart ways.

The very largest size takes just 11 skeins of Felted Tweed or 15 skeins of Silk Garden (my personal choice).  Whatever you decide, just get going, because 500 stitches is a lot, and you'll want to wear your swirl this season!
