  • Geshi is a beautifully soft and silky Noro. A wonderful blend of cotton, rayon, and silk, Geshi offers those richly saturated Noro colors we love. Like so many Noro yarns introduced for spring and summer, Geshi is a wonderful year-round fiber.

Each big beautiful 200g skein of Geshi gives you more than 600 yards, so you’ll have plenty for a nice sized shawl with just one skein, or a sweet sweater with just a couple. Geshi is listed as a dk yarn, but I think it’s also happy worked at a sport weight. Either way, you’re going to love working with Geshi, the essential Noro for summer

  • I have had my eye on this pattern since 2013, and I’m still in love with it.

    Noro Short row dress tunic

I always saw it as a dress rather than a tunic, but couldn’t really get my head around a short-sleeved wool dress, plus Silk Garden Lite is a smidge itchy for next to skin wear - enter Geshi, a perfect warm-weather substitute that will make a spectacular summer dress. As much fun to knit as the Short Row Sweater but no boring sleeves!

If you’re an accessory girl, Geshi’s bold colors are perfect for a lightweight summer Nightshift. You’ll want to work it on a smaller needle and just keep knitting to make it the size you want, playing with the colors as you go - that’s the most fun anyway, right?

Also, while I’m not much of an in-the-round sweater girl, they do offer perfectly symmetrical striping, and I have to admit, that’s pretty appealing.
