Retreat Summer 2022

For the Summer 2022 Crazy for Ewe Retreat, Rowan's hottest young designer, Georgia Farrell  will be joining us via zoom from her studio in England.  Georgia's special magic is in how she is able to find inspiration and transform images, color, and feeling into a mood board and ultimately into a design for a finished project - whether that's a sweater, an accessory, a wrap, or blanket.  She'll talk through that process and show you the keys to doing the same so you can find your own inspirations and bring them to life. 

After Georgia's presentation, we'll do some exercises that will help you find inspiration and then we'll work through how to do what Georgia does and transform that inspiration into a mood board, sketch some ideas, choose colors, and more.  The sky's the limit.  

You'll have a chance not only to hear Georgia speak, but ask her questions and interact with her directly.  She's a real sweetheart, and I think you'll love meeting her.  

Whether you decide to take this process all the way and design a piece of knitwear, or just create a mood board for another part of your life, I think you'll enjoy the process and come a way with an understanding of your own kind of creativity and 

There will be some beautiful trunk shows in house, as always and lots more fun surprises, as always.  

It's going to be super special and exciting weekend of inspiration, creativity, and community.

I've reserved a block of rooms so you can choose whether you want to stay in town or head home and sleep in your own bed each night.  There are 15 rooms in our hotel block - a mix of king and double rooms.  You can book your room here

Schedule

• Friday, August 26
• Arrive in Leonardtown and explore our beautiful little town. 
• 3pm:  Check in to your hotel
• 5pm: Join us at the shop for a glass of wine
• 6pm: Dinner at The Front Porch Restaurant
• 8pm: Dessert at Crazy for Ewe, and trunk show try on time, or just knitting
• Saturday, August 27
• 9am meet at the shop for coffee
• 9:30 Georgia Farrell
• 10:30 workshop beginning
• 12:-- Lunch catered by Quality Street 
• 1:00 Workshop
• On our own for dinner  We have lots of great restaurants in town, from NY style pizza at The Slice House to trendy upscale dining at Sweetbay.  
• Sunday, August 28
• 9:30 - arrive at shop for Show and Share Champagne brunch
• Hotel checkout time is 11am
• Sunday afternoon.  Hang out at the shop as long as you like.  We're open till 4 pm!
