Kumo is a beautiful silky yarn with soft tonal colors. Feels great next to the skin and is a good all-season fiber for warmer climates. Just a smidge of wool gives Kumo a nice knitting hand without sacrificing that lovely drape.
Kumo means cloud in Japanese, which is perfect, given the softness of both the fiber and the colors. The colorways are all named for places in Japan -- Osaki, famous for its autumn leaf color; Tottori, famous for its sand dunes, and more. How fun would it be to make a tour of Japan and visit all the Kumo names!
Listed officially as a dk, I think it’s probably more a sport weight yarn, happiest at about 6 stitches/inch, but it all depends on how much drape you want in your fabric.

I adore this little top from Noro Magazine Issue 14. A perfect shape - so simple and flattering.
Prefer something a little more covered up? This is a great pullover - so easy to wear.
