We're thrilled to welcome designer and teacher, Tanis Gray to Crazy for Ewe February 22-23, 2019. Tanis' designs have been featured in Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Knit Scene, Vogue Knitting books, and more. She is best known for her work in Fair Isle and lace, and now you have the opportunity to learn from her, first hand.
Here's the weekend's class line-up
Saturday - Fair Isle: In the morning, you'll focus on how to best work this knitting technique that uses two or more colors at the same time. She'll give you her tips and tricks, and you'll have a chance to practice what you're learning. After lunch you'll dive into Tanis' original design, Sainte-Chapelle. This beautiful design looks like a stained glass window, and you can work yours as either a hat or a cowl.
Sunday - Lace: In the morning Tanis will teach Lace Forensics, a class in which you'll learn how to read your lacework - what's supposed to happen, what did happen, and how you can recover. After lunch you'll begin the Chase the Wind and Touch the Sky Shawl with Tanis' guidance.
In addition to the Saturday and Sunday classes, Tanis will be in the shop Friday evening for a designer reception and trunk show. You are welcome to come meet Tanis and see her gorgeous designs in real life.
Both Saturday and Sunday each include 6 hours of instruction, a lovely catered luncheon, and Tanis' original pattern. Cost for each class is $175. Register for both classes and pay in full before 31 December to save $50.
Sign up soon, as space is limited, and you don't want to miss out on this!
