Our first annual Memorial Day Sale was an amazing success.  I was really pleased to be able to offer some terrific merchandise at exceptional prices.  The traffic in both shops was extraordinary.  I especially enjoyed having the opportunity to see some customers that hadn’t been in the shop for a very long time.  Thank you to everyone for making the sale such a success.  Thank you especially to my terrific team who worked super hard before, during and after the sale to get things organized, manage the incredible flow of traffic and take inventory.  Both shops are now back in order – albeit a new order – and I think you’ll be delighted with the fresh new look on our shelves.

I know you’re all anxious to hear our prize winners, so here they are!

Grand prize winners: Leonardtown – Gail Bennett;  La Plata – Ruth Anne Cumberland
These lucky ladies will each receive a custom sweater pattern designed especially for them by Lynne Warren.

Second prize winners: Leonardtown – Janet Persson;  La Plata – Norma Parr
These ladies will receive tuition for any one-session class offered at Crazy for Ewe, such as Yarn 101, Yarn 201, Patterns 101, Oops 1 – Reading your knitting, Oops 2 – fixing your mistakes, or Shaping your knitting.

Third prize winners: Leonardtown –Evelyn Leland;  La Plata – Liz Davison
These ladies will each receive a half-hour private knitting lesson on the technique of her choice.  It might be seaming, increasing, decreasing, selvedges stitches, cables, whatever!

Congratulations to our winners, and congratulations to all the shoppers who scored some serious deals on yarn, books, needles, and patterns throughout the sale!  One shopper told me she had much more fun at our sale than she did at Maryland Sheep and Wool!  Pretty high praise, I think!
