Prize pumpkins

I don't know why this project appeals to me so much!  I'm not big on decorating for random holidays, but this is such a wonderful way to welcome autumn.  Start it with us October 24th, and you'll have it done before Halloween.  You could probably knit several by then.  Love it at Halloween, and keep it around through Thanksgiving. It's so much nicer than those plastic things that come from China - and you'll have the pleasure of telling admirers, "Oh, yes, I made it myself!"
