October First Friday - Pink Friday! This is the day when we paint the town pink -- literally. Lots of us have been busy bees knitting up pink yarn for a Top Secret Mission to yarn bomb Leonardtown Square. It's not too let to get in on the action - I have scads of pink yarn donated by the wonderful folks at Knitting Fever and Euro Yarns. Come grab a skein or four and get moving. We're using big needles, so it goes really fast. If you would like to help install the yarn bombing, come to the shop around 5 p.m. this Thursday and we'll give you a job. This is going to be Amazing!! But don't tell - it's a secret until Friday morning when the town will be PINK!!
In the shop this First Friday we have a fabulous new project for you - a beautiful cowl worked in coordinating colors of two different yarns. Designed by Louisa Harding, an English Rose with a soft, romantic style, this cowl is lacy and cozy and fun to knit. We have three color choices, and they're all lovely. For every kit purchased, Crazy for Ewe is donating $5 to MedStar St. Mary's Breast Cancer Outreach.
While you're in town, be sure to stop and see this year's crop of Uplifting Designs, the collection of bras specially decorated for the cause. Choose your favorites and vote with a donation to that bra. This year Crazy for Ewe has an entry -- you'll know which one it is!
Join us this week for a super fun First Friday. Together we can fight Breast Cancer.
I look forward to seeing you in the shop and around the table - you are always welcome here.
