In one of my posts last week I said I'd started two new projects. One was Cavendish, and the other one is a cute little felted pumpkin. I am doing my first one in white. I love white pumpkins - they're different, but still traditional - and really elegant. What I have in mind is something like this gorgeous tablescape from Yvonne at Stonegable. She has lots of other great ideas you can check out when you're not knitting. Or maybe while you're knitting, like I do.
I also love this one from Pottery Barn. See how the different types work so well together - you can mix real with felted and glass. Just a lovely tapestry of textures!
The felted pumpkins knit up super fast. I am making the larger size and I found that I could make on wedge in exactly 24 minutes.
It's a great tv knit. My plan is to do two white ones and one in the Shepherd's Wool Roasted Pumpkin colorway. This darker shade means I can keep these little gems up through Thanksgiving.
Get the free pattern here and get started on your own pumpkins. There's still plenty of time time knit them up even before Halloween!
