Just another day in yarn paradise

Fun day at the shop today! Lew and Ty joined us for knitting the mistake rib cowl, and stayed for the Christmas stocking class with Tanya. Great stuff happening. I can't believe Lew had only been knitting for two weeks when he made this hat.

Ty brought in celebrity scarf she did in Noro's Silk Garden - what a fantastic effect. I really like the way the color shift works in this design. I'm thinking that it would be lovely in Noro's Cashmere Island. In case you haven't seen it, Cashmere Island is a delicious blend of cashmere, and wool in a 6 different colorways. Here are four of them.


Cashmere Island knits at a DK weight, so I would probably do the scarf on a size 6 or 7, and it will probably take 4 skeins to make a nice long scarf.
