  • Bamboo for Ewe

    March 18, 2007 1 min read

The bamboo yarn from Madil arrived last week while Sally Melville was here, and boy is it beautiful! It's got a sheen like silk, and a hand like a cotton silk blend. And you can knit it on needles as large as 6 US and as small as 3 US. It looks great both ways! Lot's of folks who were in Saturday when we opened the box selected colors for Sally's Favorite Summer Sweater. Believe it or not, this type of sweater knits up really quickly because the bottom half of the sweater and the sleeves are knit with one size 5 needle and one size 10 1/2 . You'll just zip right through it.

In that same box, we got all the new Noni Bag patterns.

I finished the knitting on my "Rather Huge Carpet Bag" And may huge refers to after the felting. Here's a pre-felting photo. I'll post a shot of the finished product this week, complete with camelia blossom.
