Saki - it's so good

This is the most exciting time of year for me.  Boxes and boxes arrive every day with all the fun new things we've ordered.  I'm always so pleased when the yarn that arrives is even more fabulous than a tiny strip of yarn on the sample card can convey.  Three more boxes came yesterday with just such happiness.

The big box was filled with gorgeous Saki, from Prism Yarns.  Prism is using a new dye technique they call Layers. This method gives the fibers multiple layers of dye that looks like a solid at a distance, but up close is a subtle and complex coloration . When knitted, the Layerscolorways are non-striping, non-pooling, and non-repeating.  I ordered about 20 different colors, and they are all truly breathtaking. The Wednesday night group in La Plata was buying it right out of the bag.

Here are a few of the colors up close - but come in and have a look.  You really have to see them in person to appreciate their delicate colors - amd feel how soft.
