Miss Christie's Masterpiece

November 17, 2011 1 min read

Christie selected this project back in the summer.  She carefully reviewed and considered several different yarns and waited for each of the new fall offerings to arrive.  She decided that lovely Rowan Felted Tweed Chunky in Sand was the perfect fiber and the perfect color, however the pattern gauge is better suited to Ushya or Rowan Drift.  So she swatched the Felted Tweed Chunky, re-worked the gauge and re-jiggered the pattern to make it work. She's been knitting away steadily, and last night she unveiled her completed masterpiece.  Isn't it just spectacular!

Love it from the back too.

But you want to know the really big thing? She lined it!  Fabulous!

The beautiful lining is from Material Girls quilt shop in La Plata, and the gorgeous silver art buttons are from Sawyer Brook. Way to go, Christie!!!
