It's time for our next Mystery Shawl Knitalong.  The past mystery projects have been about playing with color.  We've done color blocks, stripes, and more.  This time, Mary's pick is about playing with texture.  In this shawl you'll choose one color you love and use it to highlight a variety of stitch patterns.  Nothing too hard, but certainly things to explore and learn as you go.  This project is good for anyone who knows how to knit and purl and would like to learn some new and different stitch patterns.  We've selected Sulka Legato, a beautifully soft fingering weight blend of merino and silk with a touch of alpaca.  A perfect fiber blend for spring, Sulka Legato feels great in your hands and against your skin.

As I've said in the first blog post about these mystery knitalongs, they are an act of faith.  Since you don't know what the shawl will look like, you have to trust that Mary has chosen something you'll love to knit and love to wear.  So far, I'm pleased to say, everyone has been very happy with the outcome.  It's an especially good sign that lots of people have chosen to knit the Mystery project long after the knitalong is over.

You can see the colors and order on-line here, or you can come by the shop to choose your color and get signed up.  Mary and I are super excited to share this project with you! First clue goes out this Saturday, February 25th.   If you'd like to join us in the shop to get cast on, come around 2:00, and bring a US size 4 circular needle and a sense of adventure.  See you then!
