Akari, a brand new yarn from Noro, was introduced for the spring season, but it’s a perfect year-round fiber. A lovely worsted weight blend of silk and cotton, with just enough wool to make it nice to knit.
The colors are more subtle so for a quieter when you want a more tonal kind of Noro option.. A big generous 200g skein gives you more than 500 yards, so you can work a shawl with just one skein, and most summer tops take only two!

Noro Magazine Issue 14 has several really pretty designs for Akari. I especially like this shawl which takes just one skein
and this little summer top with a sweet cable detail that takes just 2 skeins for a small and 3 for medium or large
