Last week Jennifer was working on a beautiful scarf in a great looking basketweave pattern. Of course my camera batteries died, so I couldn't get a photo of it, but she said it was a free pattern she'd found on Ravelry. Lynne found the pattern too and came in yesterday to show us how it looked on size 11 needles worked in Berroco's new yarn, Sundae. It's a nice generous width with one skein of Sundae yielding about a foot of scarf. The pattern looks like cables, but it's actually just a simple mix of ribbing, stockinette, and reverse stockinette. Clever and beautiful.

I started Rayanne in this yarn last Thursday, and have already finished both sleeves and the back - and it was a busy weekend without as much knitting time as I'd hoped for. Anyway, I'll start the fronts today, and the entire thing should be finished by the weekend. Patience is a virtue, but virtue is highly over-rated...
