Silly Rabbit

I fell in love with this yarn the minute it arrived.  You know they aren't colors that look good on me, but there's just something so happy about it.  It's got a great summery palette - like ripe peaches, or raspberries and melon - I don't know.  And then one day, it hit me - this colorway takes me back to the carefree days of my childhood full of sugary cereal. This yarn is Trix - raspberry red, lemon yellow, orange orange! Who else remembers Trix and that tricky rabbit?

The scarf is Hitchiker, a fun project with happy points that make me think of sunshine. Here it is almost done.  Just one more point to make and then it's bind off time!

The buttons are from the Jul Silver, and I got them while Laura Bellows was here.  I think those buttons really gave the scarf some snap.  While I was taking out the trash last night, a guy from the Green Turtle was also taking out his trash - as we hoisted out respective bags into the dumpster, he said, "I like your scarf!"  It just made my day, 'cause you know he's probably not a knitter.  It is a great scarf!
