I just got back from a lovely week in Massachusetts visiting my brother and sister-in-law. It was a wonderful family trip — gallery visits, fresh seafood, and of course, plenty of beach time. Just three weeks earlier, they told me, it had been hot, hot, hot. But by the end of August the mornings were crisp and dewy, and the wind off Vineyard Sound had shifted. Towels were more for wrapping up than for sunbathing on!

That’s the magic of this time of year — summer isn’t quite gone, but fall is whispering at the edges. It’s the season when I start reaching for cozy wraps and cardigans, and my knitting shifts toward the projects I’ll wear again and again through the colder months.

That’s exactly why I’m so excited to give you a sneak peek at the Autumn Edit — a curated collection of six must-knit projects for Fall 2025. Think of it like a capsule wardrobe for your needles: a handful of thoughtfully chosen pieces that you’ll wear on repeat, styled your way, all season long. I’ll be revealing the full collection next week, but today I want to give you a taste with one of my absolute favorites.

Quadrangle Wrap — Cozy Elegance in Felted Tweed and Kidsilk Haze

If there’s one piece that says “sweater weather,” it’s the Quadrangle Wrap from Churchmouse. This generously sized wrap is knit in Rowan Felted Tweed carried with Kidsilk Haze, giving it incredible warmth, lightness, and drape. It’s one of those pieces that works everywhere: over jeans and a tee, wrapped around your shoulders at the office, or even tossed over a dress for a bit of extra drama.

I love that it’s simple to knit, with the yarns doing all the work of creating depth and texture. It’s meditative, wearable, and endlessly elegant — exactly what I want on my needles right now.

I’ve created special kits for the Quadrangle Wrap in gorgeous color combinations you’ll love. You can find them here:    Shop Quadrangle Wrap

Save the Date: Rowan Tea – October 11

Another big part of fall at Crazy for Ewe is our Rowan Tea — a beautiful afternoon of inspiration and connection. This year’s event will be Saturday, October 11 at the hotel in Leonardtown. We’ll sip tea, enjoy treats, and get an exclusive look at Rowan’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection.

This event is one of my favorite traditions because it’s not just about yarn — it’s about community. Gathering with other knitters, sharing the excitement of new designs, and experiencing the collection in person is something really special.

Seats are limited, so mark your calendars now! For those who can’t attend, we’ll also have Rowan Tea Boxes available to preorder — complete with yarn tastings, the magazine, and goodies so you can join the experience from home. Watch for pre-order on that soon.

Help Us Choose: 2026 Temperature Blanket

One more fun thing: we’ll be doing another Temperature Blanket in 2026! This project was such a joy in 2023, and I know many of you are eager for another round. Preorders will open later this fall, but right now we need your help deciding on the color palette.

We’ve narrowed it down to two stunning options — and I’d love your input. Cast your vote here, and be part of shaping our 2026 Temperature Blanket:

    What’s Next

So while our Labor Day Sale has come to a close, this is really just the beginning. The Autumn Edit launches next week with six fabulous projects to knit and wear all season long. Whether you’re ready to cast on a big sweater, a layering piece, or an accessory that ties it all together, I think you’ll find something in the Edit that feels just right.

Stay tuned — and in the meantime, don’t forget to grab your Quadrangle Wrap kit and save the date for the Rowan Tea!

I voted for the aqua color palette for the Temperature Blanket but I have no idea what a Temperature Blanket is and would love to know more. I also did not understand the last item on the voting that had Option 1 with an * and nothing else. Since it was a “required” item I selected it but I had no idea why.
